Have had the pleasure of dressing the models at the Copenhagen Fur show in Herning today. I was so impressed by all the beautiful styles and colours - so luxurious yet cool. They would definately pimp up an outfit on a frosty winter day :)
Will post more pictures from the show on saturday!
If you need trench coat-inspiration you should definately check out the website "Art of the Trench" - Burberry's living celebration of their classic-can't-live-without-item. The pictures are taken by The Sartorialist and b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l as usual. Above you can see some examples of how seriously cool you can look in a trench coat :)
Alexa Chung was on the cover of last months British Vogue wearing the hottest pair of Chanel clogs. I wish! As you can see I found a cheaper alternative on Kurt Geigers website and I'm kind of loving them. The only minus about them is that they are quite low compared to the Chanel ones but I think they would rock on a warm summer day anyway.
Andreea (19 years old. Comes from Romania) and Jacqueline (21 years old. Born in Ghana but has grown up in Holland). I noticed this creative duo during a project at TEKO where they designed this chic jacket for a danish architect company (The one you can see in the pic)
Their style its all about volumne, mix & match and being street yet sophisticated - words that may describe many designers today. Despite this, the mix of different cultural backgrounds and personality gives an excentric and different feel to this as yet unknown duo and makes their ideas truly inspiring. Lately, they have been working with destereotyping the African lifestyle and making a collection out of this specific idea. Can't wait to see the out-come!
Love H&M's Garden Collection and im really upset that I didn't manage to get a hold of anything before it was sold out her Denmark. I particularly wanted the red jacket made of recycled polyester.
Why do I always end up having to eat cereal the rest of the month? But what do you want me to do? Food or shoes?
Anyway, I found this fantastic red pair of See by Chloé during a visit to Copenhagen. Red seems to be the new black so I couldn't help imagining myself dancing around in a flowy summer dress wtih exactly this pair of shoes. I love that they are slightly grandma' but in a retro 50's-style-kind-of-way. What do you think?
One of the good things about attending a fashion school is that you meet cool people every day.
Marine Oh is my lithuanian friend who has decided to follow her dream of becoming a model and is now going to live in London where she feels that there are more possibilities for her (.. and I might agree). She sizzles with coolness and I think she has the most beautiful bone-structure ever. Looking forward to following Marine on her ”quest” :-)
We all know House of Holland. Crazy, quirky and maybe a little bit too much? But then again, isn't it just liberating? Some probably think that HOH looses some of its "IT-factor" by continuously having a gang of "IT-girls" and funky teenagers as fans but why if I may ask? And no - it is not "parisienne chic" nor is it classic - but it is fun. That is the adjective that style.com uses in their review of the Fall 2010RTW adding "....but then, so is Topshop". My responce: who said that being young isn't about being load and standing out? :-)
I personally find the collection Lush-tastic and it could not have represented the true spirit of Henry Holland any better. The stripes, the colours, the bandannas.. What a show-off but I LOVE IT! As a student I am on a budget but I couldn't help my self from (joining the fan-club) and buying af pair of the House of Holland for Pretty Polly stockings to pimp up my outfits on a dull day. (The one with the houses). Get them from prettypolly.co.uk or nelly.com
I am usually not afraid of using colours but also with out them, this outfit is so full of...... Spring. I couldn't help dreaming a little. And with a pair of purple vintage Emmanuelle Khanh sunglasses I believe I would be just fine!
